Humanity and kindness in action – let’s help the refugees

16. September 2015.

We were contacted by a young Syrian. He wanted to share his thoughts with us. He lives and studies in Croatia, wants a better life … this is his message to us all…

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I am Syrian, I was living in a war for three years, the situation there is indeed terrible. I lived in the capital, Damascus. Syrians have started protests against the government with the aim of a better life and the protests expanded across the country. The government has not found a way to contain the protests and the country found itself in chaos. How there eventually appeared ISIL I do not know myself, as well as numerous paramilitary units. The situation in Damascus, Syria, before I left was really terrifying. The bombing, car bombs, missiles. It was horrible.

I spent 2 years in Croatia. I really love this country even though it is not an easy life here, but I do my best. I hope I’ll have, like other people, normal life and build everything I lost in Syria.
